Group Dog Walks in Rhostyllen and Bersham

The Clywedog Trail passes Bersham on its way to Erddig, so group dog walks in Rhostyllen have a flat, mostly surfaced path right on hand. We collect up to four dogs, give them an hour together on the trail, and drop each dog back home.

Group walk£15

What's included

An hour on a group walk costs £15. If you have more than one dog, each additional dog is £5. Groups never go above four.

Labradoodles are a good example of a dog that loves this kind of walk. They are boisterous, and their coats need plenty of grooming, so a firm surfaced path on a wet day is kinder to your hoover than a muddy field. We start with a meet and greet at your home before any dog joins a group.

Our Rhostyllen and Bersham walks

The Clywedog Trail runs about 5.3 miles from Minera past Nant Mill and Bersham to Erddig, so an hour covers just a stretch of it. Bersham Ironworks, a heritage site on the trail, sits right in this patch.

Erddig is a National Trust estate with waymarked routes. We are still checking its dog rules on the National Trust page, so until then owners should treat any walk there as subject to the signs on the day. The dog rules on the trail itself are also still to be confirmed.

Questions owners ask

FAQs

Do group walks from Rhostyllen go into Erddig?

We are still confirming Erddig's dog rules with the National Trust. Until we have, the group sticks to the Clywedog Trail and follows any signs on the day.

How long is a group walk?

1 hour, out on the trails with a few doggy friends.

How many dogs are in a group?

Up to 4 dogs, so every dog gets attention.

Can my dog join a group walk?

We meet your dog first. Group walks suit sociable dogs with reliable recall; we will suggest solo walks if that suits your dog better.

Are you insured and DBS checked?

Yes. We are fully insured, DBS checked and first aid trained.

What is a meet and greet?

Before the first walk we visit you at home to meet your dog and talk through routines, keys and any quirks.
