How much exercise a Cavapoo needs

Cavapoos are a medium energy breed and need around 45 to 60 minutes of walking a day. That is a manageable amount, as long as it happens every day rather than in fits and starts.

Our one hour group walk covers it in a single outing, with time to play and sniff along the way. Anything extra you do in the evening is a bonus.

Best Wrexham walks for Cavapoos

Caia Park’s green spaces and Bellevue Park are handy for Cavapoos in Caia Park, Hightown and the town centre. Acton Park, north of the centre, does the same job for Acton, Rhosddu, Rhosnesni and Borras.

For something bigger, Alyn Waters Country Park near Gwersyllt and Llay is a firm favourite with local dog walkers. Small legs do fine on the open grass on the Llay side.

Which service suits

Cavapoos are well suited to group walks: friendly, small and easy-going. A group walk is 1 hour with up to 4 dogs for £15.

If your Cavapoo is still a puppy, puppy walks start once vaccinations are finished. They are short and fun, cost £20, and help your puppy meet the world before joining a group. Owners with two Cavapoos pay £5 for the second dog.

Walking Cavapoos: what we watch for

Their size means we keep an eye on bigger, bouncier dogs on the path, and we make sure the group they walk with is a good match.

Cavapoos can also get so caught up in saying hello that they forget about the walk. We let them be sociable while keeping them moving, and after a wet day their coat will need some attention at home.
