Boxer Walker in Wrexham

Boxers bring bounce to every walk, along with a fair bit of strength. Lloyd works as a boxer walker Wrexham families use for steady, one to one walks that burn off energy without getting dragged around. We collect your Boxer, head out and drop them home after.

About 90 mins a day

How much exercise a Boxer needs

Boxers sit in the high energy group on our list, and about 90 minutes of exercise a day is the figure we plan around. They are playful and keen, so a good walk does as much for their manners as it does for their legs.

That time does not all have to come from us. A 45 minute walk while you are at work takes a decent share of it, and the rest can be gentler time with you.

Best Wrexham walks for Boxers

Alyn Waters Country Park gives a Boxer room to move, especially across the open grass on the Llay side. It suits owners in Gwersyllt and Llay, and pay and display parking is there when we drive in.

For the south west of town, the Clywedog Trail is flat and mostly surfaced, which helps on hotter days when we want an even route rather than steep climbs. Erddig has waymarked routes too, though owners should check the signs on the day for dog rules.

Which service suits

We usually suggest solo dog walks for Boxers. A 45 minute walk is £20, one dog and one walker, so a strong, bouncy dog gets handled properly instead of being one of a crowd.

If you have two dogs, an additional dog is £5. For a longer day out on the beach or in the forest, the daycation runs at 3 hours for £30 or 5 hours for £50.

Walking Boxers: what we watch for

Heat is the main thing. We are careful with Boxers on warm days, walking at cooler times where we can, keeping the pace sensible and carrying water.

They are also strong and bouncy, so good lead handling matters. We take it steady at the start of each walk while that first burst of excitement wears off, and we tell you how they behaved so you know what is working.
