Cairn Terrier Walker in Wrexham
Cairn Terriers are tough, curious and always digging for something. Lloyd works as a cairn terrier walker Wrexham owners use for small group walks and solo outings, with pick up from home and drop off after. We meet your Cairn at home first, so we know what makes them tick before the first walk.

How much exercise a Cairn Terrier needs
Cairns are medium energy on our list, needing 45 to 60 minutes a day. They are sturdy little dogs and usually happy to keep going for an hour.
What they really enjoy is investigating. A walk with plenty of smells and corners to poke about in suits them better than covering ground fast, and they come home far more settled for it. An hour on a group walk sits right at the top of their range.
Best Wrexham walks for Cairn Terriers
For owners in Coedpoeth, Nant Mill sits on the Clywedog Trail and makes a good base. The trail is flat and mostly surfaced, and we can pick a section to suit the hour.
Close to town, Acton Park and Bellevue Park are handy. On the Llay and Gwersyllt side, Alyn Waters Country Park is popular with dog walkers, with dogs welcome in most areas.
Which service suits
Group dog walks suit plenty of Cairns. For £15 they get an hour out with up to 4 dogs, which fits their energy level nicely.
We meet each dog first and will suggest a solo walk (£20 for 45 minutes) if that would suit yours better. Puppy walks are £20 too, short and fun, for Cairn puppies who have finished their vaccinations.

Walking Cairn Terriers: what we watch for
Cairns are diggers with a strong prey drive. Left to it, they would happily spend the whole walk down a hole.
We keep them on lead in places where wildlife is likely, and steer them away from digging spots before they get stuck in. After muddy walks we clean paws and coat before dropping them home, so you do not come back to a trail across the kitchen floor.
FAQs
My Cairn digs everywhere. Is that a problem on walks?
Not for us. Cairns are diggers with prey drive, so we keep them on lead around wildlife and clean them up before drop off.
