Chihuahua Walker in Wrexham

Chihuahuas need a gentle hand and a short route. As a chihuahua walker Wrexham owners can trust with a very small dog, Lloyd keeps visits calm, warm and brief, and either walks your dog alone or with one or two tiny companions.

How much exercise a Chihuahua needs

The guide we work to is 20 to 30 minutes a day, and we class them as low energy. That is not much walking at all, so a lot of their day is better spent with company and play at home.

Their size means a short walk feels long to them. We keep it gentle and let your dog set the pace, then head home before they flag.

Best Wrexham walks for Chihuahuas

Short and sheltered is the rule. Bellevue Park and Acton Park are both close to town and work well for a quick loop.

Out in Marchwiel, the village lanes and fields give a quiet option. In Gresford and Marford, Marford Quarry nature reserve is local, but owners should check the signs on the day for dog rules. For many Chihuahuas, a few minutes on familiar streets near home is plenty.

Which service suits

Drop-in visits suit most Chihuahuas. For £10 we spend 30 minutes with them: checking in, playing, feeding and letting them out. If they just need food and the loo, feed and let out is £7.

If you are away overnight, our dog sitting service means we stay in your home, which can be easier on a small, sensitive dog than any change of scene. That is £55 a night.

Walking Chihuahuas: what we watch for

Chihuahuas are fragile and feel the cold. On chilly or wet days we keep walks short and make sure they are warm before and after.

We walk them solo or in a tiny group of other small dogs only, never with large or bouncy breeds. Lifting and handling is done gently. If your dog wears a coat or jumper in winter, show us at the meet and greet and we will use it.
