Cockapoo Walker in Wrexham

Cockapoos tend to treat every walk as a social event, and they usually come back wearing half of it on their coat. If you need a Cockapoo walker in Wrexham who is happy with both the chat and the mud, we collect your dog from home, get them out with good company and drop them back afterwards.

How much exercise a Cockapoo needs

A Cockapoo sits in the medium to high energy bracket and generally needs 60 to 90 minutes of walking a day. They are bright dogs, so a mix of steady walking, sniffing time and a bit of play keeps them content.

Our one hour group walk covers most of that in one go. On your busy days, that hour can be the difference between a calm evening and a Cockapoo bouncing off the sofa.

Best Wrexham walks for Cockapoos

Acton Park, just north of the town centre, is a good everyday option for Cockapoos living in Acton, Rhosddu, Rhosnesni or Borras. The Borras fields give a bit more space nearby.

For a longer outing we head to Alyn Waters Country Park near Gwersyllt and Llay, which is popular with local dog walkers and has open grass on the Llay side. Fair warning: none of these stay dry for long in winter.

Which service suits

Cockapoos are sociable and usually settle well with other dogs, so group walks suit most of them: an hour out, up to 4 dogs, £15.

For a young Cockapoo, puppy walks start once vaccinations are finished. They are short, fun outings that build confidence, priced the same as a solo walk at £20. When your puppy is ready, moving across to a group is a simple step.

Walking Cockapoos: what we watch for

The big one is the coat. A Cockapoo’s fur collects mud, leaves and the odd bramble, and wet walks make it worse, so expect a mucky dog after a rainy day and plan for a good brush at your end.

Because they love other dogs, we also keep an eye on how they greet strangers on the path. Friendly is great; barrelling into a nervous dog is not.
