How much exercise a Samoyed needs
We list Samoyeds as medium to high energy, needing 60 to 90 minutes a day. They like to be busy and enjoy a varied walk.
A 45 minute solo walk covers a good share. On warmer days we may shorten the walk and keep the pace easy, because the weather matters as much as the minutes for this breed. In cooler months they can happily take on more.
Best Wrexham walks for Samoyeds
Shade and cooler ground help in warm weather. The woodland walks at Minera Lead Mines and Country Park suit owners in Coedpoeth, with dog rules to check on the day.
The Clywedog Trail is flat and mostly surfaced, so it suits a steady walk. Erddig sits at its far end with waymarked routes of its own, though dog rules there are something to check on arrival.
Which service suits
Solo dog walks suit Samoyeds. For £20 they get 45 minutes, one walker and one dog, at a pace we can adjust to the weather.
For a bigger day out in cooler months, the daycation is 3 hours for £30 or 5 hours for £50. The pet taxi is handy too, at £11 a trip, for getting that coat to the groomers.

Walking Samoyeds: what we watch for
Samoyeds are heat-sensitive and carry a heavy coat. On warm days we walk early or late, keep to shade and carry water.
That coat also holds onto mud and water, so we give it a towel down after wet walks before dropping them home. In winter they are usually in their element, and we walk in all weathers. If yours struggles in the heat, tell us at the meet and greet so we can plan cooler times.
