About 120 mins a day

How much exercise a Siberian Husky needs

We list Huskies as high energy, with about 120 minutes a day as a guide. That is a lot, and they need it to stay content.

One 45 minute walk from us will not cover all of that, but it takes a real chunk out of the day. For a bigger session, a daycation gives them hours out at the beach or the forest.

Best Wrexham walks for Huskies

The Clywedog Trail suits a Husky’s appetite for distance, running about 5.3 miles from Minera to Erddig on a flat, mostly surfaced path. We walk the section that fits the booking.

Minera Lead Mines and Country Park offers woodland walks near Coedpoeth, which can feel cooler on warm days. Please check the signs on the day for dog rules there. Alyn Waters Country Park is another regular, with open grass on the Llay side.

Which service suits

Solo dog walks are the best match. A 45 minute walk is £20, with one walker focused on your Husky the whole time.

On days when you want them properly tired, a daycation is a day out to the beach or the forest: 3 hours for £30 or 5 hours for £50. If you are away, dog sitting in your own home is £55 a night, which saves your Husky a change of house.

Walking Huskies: what we watch for

Huskies pull, have poor recall and are known for escaping. That shapes everything we do with them.

  • On lead throughout, with a secure harness and fittings checked before we set off.
  • Doors and gates checked at collection and drop off.
  • Walks kept to cooler parts of the day in warm weather, as they are heat-sensitive.

We will always tell you how they got on.
