West Highland Terrier Walker in Wrexham
Westies are cheerful, nosy little dogs with a fair bit of terrier in them. If you need a west highland terrier walker Wrexham side, Lloyd takes them out in small groups or on their own, picked up from home and returned clean, dry and ready for a nap.

How much exercise a West Highland Terrier needs
We put Westies in the medium energy bracket. Somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes a day is the range we aim for, which is enough to keep them busy without wearing out short legs.
Like most terriers, they get as much from sniffing and exploring as they do from distance. A walk with plenty of interesting smells tends to settle a Westie better than marching in a straight line.
Best Wrexham walks for Westies
Close to home is often best. Acton Park, north of the town centre, is handy for owners in Acton, Rhosddu, Rhosnesni and Borras. Caia Park green spaces and Bellevue Park cover the east side of town.
For a bit more variety, the woodland walks at Minera Lead Mines and Country Park suit owners in Coedpoeth. Please check the signs on the day for any dog rules, as we do not have them confirmed.
Which service suits
Group dog walks suit many Westies. A group walk is £15 for an hour, with up to 4 dogs, so your dog gets company and still has a walker keeping a close eye on them.
We always meet your dog first. If a solo walk would suit them better, it is £20 for 45 minutes, one dog and one walker. Drop-in visits (£10 for 30 minutes) are there for days they just need a break and some play.

Walking Westies: what we watch for
Two things. First, prey drive: a Westie can switch on fast if a squirrel or bird appears, so we keep a firm hold of the lead in the right places.
Second, skin. Westies can get skin issues from wet walks, so after a damp outing we towel them down properly before they go back in. We walk in all weathers, but we will never drop a soaking dog home and leave it there.
