Dog Walks at Bersham Ironworks
Bersham Ironworks is a heritage site on the Clywedog Trail, beside Rhostyllen and Bersham. Dog walks at Bersham Ironworks combine local history with an easy trail walk, and it is a natural part of our rounds for dogs living in Rhostyllen and Bersham.

The route
Bersham Ironworks sits right on the Clywedog Trail, which runs from Minera past Nant Mill and Bersham to Erddig. The trail is flat and mostly surfaced, so it suits dogs of most ages.
From Bersham you can head towards Erddig or back towards Nant Mill, depending on how far your dog wants to go. We choose the stretch on the day to suit them.
Parking
There is roadside parking in Bersham. As a heritage site, there may be set areas for visitors, so check before you travel.
For dogs on our rounds, we take care of the trip. We pick your dog up from home in Rhostyllen and Bersham, walk a stretch of the trail with them and drop them back, so you can skip the car park entirely.
Dog rules
Dog rules at Bersham Ironworks are still to be verified, and heritage sites can have areas where dogs need to stay out. Check the signs on the day and follow them.
As anywhere, pick up after your dog. We get to know your dog at the meet and greet first, so we know how they handle new places and other people on the trail.
