What's included
The walk lasts a full hour and costs £15, and the group never goes above 4 dogs. Your Golden is picked up from home and brought back at the end, in rain or sunshine.
Before the first outing we pop round for a meet and greet to talk through routines, keys and quirks. If you have more than one dog, each extra dog is £5.
Why it suits Golden Retrievers
Our breed notes describe Golden Retrievers as high energy, needing around 90 minutes a day. A group walk gives them a solid hour of it, in company they tend to enjoy.
Goldens are generally gentle and good in groups, so they mix well with calmer dogs too. They also love water, so we keep an eye out near it and follow your wishes on swimming, which we agree at the meet and greet.
Where we walk
Group routes depend on who is in the group and where they live. The open grass at Alyn Waters Country Park gives Goldens from Gwersyllt and Llay space to stretch out, and the council says dogs are welcome in most areas there.
For dogs south of town, the Clywedog Trail runs flat and mostly surfaced between Minera and Erddig. Dog rules on parts of the trail are still to check, so we read the signs on the day.
